Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI), the world’s leading gin producer, led an unforgettable World Gin Day 2025 celebration this year. The event offered Filipino gin lovers an immersive experience at the Manila Diamond Hotel ballroom, transforming it into a global gateway where each sip unveiled new characteristics of gin.

The “Your World of Gin Experience” theme guided an event designed as a full sensory voyage. Guests embarked on an aviation-themed “flight” from “check-in” to “final landing,” savoring global gin flavors, cultural heritage, and Filipino excellence.

Bringing together gin lovers, industry figures, and media personalities, the event championed gin as a global favorite and Ginebra San Miguel as an internationally recognized brand. The central theme for the year resonated throughout: “The Philippines celebrates World Gin Day. And on this day and always, Gin Is In!”

Gin Is In: Gin is Cool, Clear, and Versatile
Following last year’s “Art of Gin,” World Gin Day 2025 transformed into the more expansive “World of Gin” experience. This year’s celebration emphasized immersive exploration, showcasing gin’s global reach and diversity through a curated exhibit at the venue.

Stepping inside, guests were transported to a travel-themed world where aviation lounge aesthetics seamlessly blended with gin sophistication. Each area was meticulously designed to represent a different stage of a global journey. In the “Cool Botanica” zone, for instance, visitors strolled through a lush, garden-inspired space. Here, juniper berries and other botanicals were highlighted, offering a sensory experience where guests could crush, touch, and smell gin’s core ingredients, truly evoking the freshness and craftsmanship found in every bottle.

The journey continued into the “Clear Archives,” an exhibit designed as a classic London pub with dark wood, vintage posters, and copper stills. This museum-like space unveiled gin’s extensive history, from its European roots to its popularity in the Philippines, while highlighting GSMI’s enduring legacy as a top international gin producer. Guests could also enjoy tastings of 1834 Premium Distilled Gin and Archangel Reserve Premium Dry Gin.

The final stop was the “Versatile Bar & Lounge,” a chic, monochrome space styled as a modern airport lounge. Guests enjoyed handcrafted gin cocktails from the main bar and Gin Carts operated by TESDA-trained Mixologists from the GSM Bar Academy, highlighting gin’s versatility. The menu featured globally inspired drinks such as the Pearl of the Orient, Golden Halo, Singapore Sling, Classic Gin & Tonic, Jell-O Shots, and Negroni, all prepared with GSMI’s popular brands like GSM Blue, 1834 Premium Distilled Gin, Archangel Reserve Gin, and Ginebra San Miguel Bilog.

Welcome to the World of Gin
The World of Gin event unfolded as a dynamic, flight-inspired narrative, with each of its three thematic chapters elevating Ginebra’s story as a world-class spirit. The experience was fittingly inaugurated by Ginebra San Miguel endorser Nik Makino.

The journey commenced with “World of Adventure – Gin is Cool.” Guests were immersed in the Cool Botanica exhibit, where popular personality Boss Toyo embodied gin’s cool confidence. He led an engaging discussion on what makes gin “cool” while roving Gin Carts served refreshing Singapore Sling cocktails.

The second leg, “World of Excellence – Gin is Clear,” transported guests through the Clear Archives. Heartthrob Atty. Oliver Moeller personified gin’s purity and clarity, offering insights into the distillation process and celebrating the international acclaim of Ginebra’s premium products. This segment featured testimonials from gin experts, mixologists, and global distributors, further underscoring Ginebra’s standing as a globally awarded Filipino brand.

The final chapter, “World of Celebration – Gin is Versatile,” showcased gin’s adaptability at the Versatile Bar & Lounge. Actress and singer Mikee Quintos discussed how gin seamlessly fits every lifestyle, sharing her favorite mixes as Gin Carts served a variety of gin-based cocktails. Julie Anne San Jose, the limitless star, further emphasized the “limitless” ways to enjoy gin, reinforcing that Gin is Cool, Gin is Clear, and Gin is Versatile.

Happy World Gin Day
The chapter began with a lively celebration featuring performances by GSM Blue endorser Gabbi Garcia. The audience participated in a fun gin trivia game, culminating in a ceremonial toast where brand ambassadors, executives, and guests collectively wished everyone a “Happy World Gin Day.”

Beyond the cocktails and entertainment, World Gin Day 2025 aimed to highlight Filipino excellence on the global stage. The event recognized GSMI’s remarkable achievements, including seven consecutive Gold Quality Seals from Monde Selection in Belgium, the international acclaim for its 1834 Premium Distilled Gin, and the strong overseas reception of local favorites like Gin Bilog and Kwatro Kantos.

A special moment occurred when Global World Gin Day Ambassador Emma Stokes delivered a message, noting that over 36 countries celebrate World Gin Day every second Saturday of June, with Ginebra San Miguel leading the celebration in the Philippines. Stokes remarked, “From Brussels to Bangkok, gin lovers are discovering what Filipinos have always known—Ginebra is a world-class spirit.”
