LBC Express reported a net income of ₱181.3 million for the first half of 2025, a significant improvement from the ₱190.9 million net loss it posted during the same period last year. This turnaround reflects the company’s operational improvements as it celebrates its 75th year.
According to a disclosure to the stock exchange, LBC’s service revenues slightly decreased to ₱6.98 billion from ₱7.13 billion in the first half of 2024. However, the company’s gross profit grew by 6% to ₱1.63 billion, thanks to a 4% reduction in service costs and continued strong demand for its logistics and money services.

LBC’s operating income increased by 19% year-on-year to ₱393.8 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) also saw a 3% rise, reaching ₱562.4 million. This was achieved while keeping the growth of operating expenses at a modest 3%, totaling ₱1.24 billion.
For the second quarter alone, LBC recorded a net income of ₱132.6 million, a significant turnaround from the ₱131.4 million loss in the same quarter of the previous year. Quarterly revenues reached ₱3.58 billion, and gross profit grew to ₱683.5 million from ₱663.1 million.
The company’s logistics business was the main driver of its performance, contributing 97% of the first-half revenues, or ₱6.75 billion. Within logistics, retail services made up 67% of the revenue, while corporate solutions accounted for 30%. The remaining 3% of revenue, or ₱232 million, came from money services. Geographically, domestic operations generated 61% of the total revenue, with international operations contributing the remaining 39%.
“We are on track and delivering even better results,” the company said. “Over nearly 75 years in business, we have faced our share of challenges, but each one has made us stronger. This recovery shows that our strategy is working, and we’re ready to build on this momentum for the years ahead,” said Enrique V. Rey Jr., LBC’s Chief Finance Officer.

Founded in 1950, LBC has grown from a small courier service in Manila to one of the country’s largest logistics, freight, and remittance networks. The company said it will continue to invest in technology, expand its reach, and strengthen its service portfolio as part of its vision to serve communities worldwide for decades to come.
