Federal Land is boosting its Marikina Town Center estate with two exciting additions. The township now features a cutting-edge football field, built to strict FIFA standards, and the newly launched Toyota Tamaraw Food Park, positioned as the city’s newest major hangout spot. These two key developments bring fresh energy and offer families, food lovers, and sports enthusiasts compelling reasons to visit and celebrate as the Christmas season begins.
A Football Field for Play, Practice, and Community Fun
Marikina sports enthusiasts have a premier new destination: a massive 100-by-68-meter football field constructed to rigorous FIFA standards. Complete with bleachers capable of seating up to 250 spectators, this new turf is designed to be the community’s central hub—perfect for friendly matches, cheering on local teams, or staying active.
“With this new turf field, we hope to give Marikina a new space for sports and recreation and more importantly, a reason for people to come together as a community,” stated Jose Mari Banzon, President of Federal Land.

A Food Park Full of Good Eats and Holiday Cheer
Right next to the football field, the Toyota Tamaraw Food Park has officially opened. Developed in partnership with Toyota Motor Philippines, this unique dining space features customized Tamaraw food truck conversions and a vibrant selection of delicious local favorites.
Masando Hashimoto, President of Toyota Motor Philippines, shared his excitement: “We’re excited to bring this unique food park experience to Marikina Town Center, supporting local entrepreneurs while sharing the joy of food and community.”

This spot is ideal for grabbing a post-game meal or enjoying a festive evening out. Nine food trucks debuted on launch day, with the seasonal rotation expected to feature:
- Celebrity Chefs: Elevated comfort food and crowd-pleasing dishes from Karla Kusinera, Chef Sharwin Tee, and Chef Sai Montes.
- Local Favorites: Home-style Filipino comfort foods from Yahu! Kitchen, Boynita (classic Filipino savor), and Kusina ni Kambal (everyday lutong-bahay).
- Café & Bites: Crafted coffee and hearty snacks from Overflow Café, Kape Talyer, and flavorful comfort food from What’s Poppin’.
Designed as an accessible space for MSMEs and young entrepreneurs, this food park concept is slated for expansion across other Federal Land communities.
More Holiday Fun with the NakakaLocal Food Fest
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the celebrations continue with the second staging of the NakakaLocal Food Fest, a dynamic collaboration with PhilSTAR. This event is dedicated to championing Marikina’s beloved MSMEs and celebrated homegrown kitchens.

From November 26–30, visitors can indulge in dishes from top local merchants, including:
- Filipino Favorites: Café Rajah (comfort favorites), Kalye Classics by Maria Abish Kitchenette (street classics), Ligaya’s Chicken House (chicken specialties), Mang Romaurk’s Ihaw-Ihaw (smoky grilled delights), and Matteau’s Marikina Food & Beverage House (regional meals).
- Sweets and Treats: Crumbly Crust Café (local-inspired breads and pastries) and Tsokorado: The Champorado Station (classic champorado).
- Creative Bites: Katip’s Food Hub (creative, homegrown dishes).
More to Look Forward To in 2025
The momentum is just beginning at Marikina Town Center. As a key Federal Land estate in the East, this location is vital to the company’s long-term vision of creating vibrant, well-connected communities. The successful launch of the new football field and the Toyota Tamaraw Food Park marks the start of a refreshed commitment to the township, introducing enhanced spaces that foster community and support an active lifestyle.

The next phase of development is already underway. The redevelopment of the Blue Wave Mall and the adjacent Petron station is progressing, with the revitalized mall expected to open in the first half of 2026. Future visitors can anticipate upgraded sports and lifestyle facilities, including courts for basketball, badminton, and pickleball, complemented by a pipeline of new commercial and residential projects that will solidify Marikina Town Center as an increasingly exciting destination for families, athletes, and leisure seekers.
