For two days, from September 20 to 21, Filipino fans can witness history at the Ayala Triangle Gardens. The crowd will be on their feet to support EJ Obiena, the Asian record holder and 2023 World Athletics Championships silver medalist, as he takes on the world’s best. After competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, this event gives Obiena a chance to reaffirm the place of Filipino athletes among the global elite.

A Weekend of World Pole Vault Excellence

On September 20, the event starts with a Meet and Greet at One Ayala, giving fans a chance to meet their favorite athletes. Later that afternoon, from 2 to 5 PM, the National Pole Vault Competition will shine a light on the next generation of Filipino talent.

The excitement reaches its peak on September 21. The Ayala Triangle Gardens will host a world-class showdown featuring EJ Obiena against nine of the sport’s biggest names. The impressive roster includes recent Paris 2024 Olympic finalist Ersu Sasma (Turkey), top French vaulter Thibaut Collet, and European champion Oleg Zernikel (Germany). They will be joined by other elite vaulters, including Ben Broeders (Belgium), Piotr Lisek (Poland), Menno Vloon (Netherlands), and American stars Austin Miller and Matt Ludwig. This is a can’t-miss opportunity to see a global athletic event in person.
