CHAGEE Philippines is inviting tea lovers to experience a new classic with the launch of its Apple English Breakfast Tea on July 3, 2026. This exclusive, limited-edition beverage and the CHAGEE | Tate merchandise collection are made possible in partnership with Tate, one of the UK’s most esteemed cultural institutions.
A unique experience inspired by artworks from Tate’s collection, this launch brings together a rich story of premium tea, heritage apples, and fine art that beautifully spans cultures and centuries.
Two Traditions Meet in a Modern Tea Classic

Apple English Breakfast Milk Tea
Tea and apples share deep historical roots across global cultures. While tea originated thousands of years ago in China before becoming a beloved daily ritual worldwide, the apple has been a staple of Western art and agriculture across Europe and Asia for centuries.
The new CHAGEE Apple English Breakfast Milk Tea honors both long-standing traditions, reimagining familiar flavors for today’s tea enthusiasts.
A Premium Five-Tea Blend Across Continents
The sophisticated tea base features a precise blend of five distinct, premium teas:
- Assam (India): Provides a bold, full-bodied, and malty backbone.
- Lapsang Souchong (Wuyishan, Fujian): Adds a signature, deeply satisfying pine-smoked layer.
- Yunnan Golden Pekoe: Lends a velvety, rich texture.
- Four Seasons Spring (Taiwan): Infuses a smooth, floral balance.
- Highland Qilan (Fujian): Lifts the entire profile with a lingering orchid fragrance.
Each tea variety is roasted and processed independently, then meticulously blended under strict temperature and humidity controls to allow the natural aromas to integrate seamlessly.
Pure Red Fuji Apple Extraction
To complement the robust tea base, CHAGEE sources premium Red Fuji apples from Shandong, China. Using a whole-fruit cold extraction process (utilizing both skin and flesh with zero added water, sugar, or preservatives), the pure juice is infused into the tea leaves via a low-temperature process. It is then vacuum-dried to lock in the authentic fruit flavor.
“Culture has always traveled through food and drink, and tea is probably the best example of that in history,” said Christopher Tiong, General Manager of CHAGEE Philippines. “With Apple English Breakfast Tea, we wanted to honor all of those journeys in a single cup, creating something that people from every country and culture can genuinely connect with.”

A Purpose-Driven Partnership for Art Conservation
CHAGEE’s one-year partnership with Tate extends far beyond product design. CHAGEE is actively supporting Tate’s Paper and Photography Conservation Work, helping to fund the physical care and preservation of national masterpieces within the collection so that future generations can continue to experience them.
This relationship reflects a core belief shared by both entities: that culture should be living, accessible, and passed on.
“At Tate Enterprises, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to extend engagement with Tate’s collection beyond our galleries,” said Rosey Blackmore, Director of Licensing & Merchandise at Tate Enterprises. “This partnership has allowed CHAGEE to create a product range that thoughtfully brings together art, design, and everyday ritual, inspired by Henri Fantin-Latour’s A Plate of Apples, Paul Cézanne’s Still Life with Water Jug and Mark Gertler’s The Basket of Fruit, from Tate’s collection. We are excited to see audiences discover these artworks in a new context and through a unique cultural experience.”
