Celebrated actress and multimedia superstar Anne Curtis recently explored the vibrant streets of Shanghai alongside renowned fashion photographer BJ Pascual. Featured in vivo’s latest global campaign, Curtis put the new flagship vivo X300 Ultra camera smartphone to the test across the city’s iconic landmarks.
Set against the contrast of the futuristic North Bund skyline and the historic Shikumen stone-gate alleyways in the Huangpu District, the shoot highlighted Shanghai’s seamless blend of modern architecture and rich cultural heritage.

Testing the 200MP ZEISS Telephoto Lens at the North Bund
During the shoot at the Silver Egg at the North Bund, Curtis tested the device’s 200MP 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera by capturing the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from a distance.
Reviewing the high-resolution shot, Curtis was impressed by the telephoto lens’s clarity and zoom capabilities:
“This is how tight you can get. That’s crazy. Insane,” Curtis remarked while highlighting the sharp details of the landmark’s red circular rooftop.

Street and Heritage Photography in Historic Shikumen
The production then moved to Shikumen, a historic neighborhood celebrated for its traditional stone-gate architecture and pedestrian promenades. The location offered a striking visual contrast to the modern skyline, allowing the team to showcase the phone’s performance in heritage street photography.
“I really love where we’re shooting right now, which is considered like a heritage promenade,” said Curtis. “So I get to see a lot of heritage architecture—not only see it, but shoot alongside it.”

BJ Pascual captured the campaign images by blending elements of fashion, travel, and street photography across these vastly different urban environments using a single mobile device.
“Shanghai offers an incredible visual contrast between contemporary architecture and historic neighborhoods, making it an ideal setting to demonstrate what the vivo X300 Ultra is capable of in the hands of creators,” said Liu Lu, Brand Marketing Director of vivo Philippines. “The campaign reflects how today’s smartphone photography can adapt to different environments while preserving detail, depth, and perspective.”
