Solaire Resort Entertainment City, in partnership with the German Club Manila, recently gathered esteemed German dignitaries and media guests for an exclusive poolside preview of Manila’s most anticipated annual cultural event: Oktoberfest 2026.

Recognized as the only authentic Oktoberfest in Manila—and one of the largest Bavarian festivals outside of Germany—the preview highlighted the strong and prospering cultural relations between the Philippines and Germany.

Held at Solaire’s Pool Bar and Grill against the backdrop of Manila Bay, the intimate media event offered an atmospheric first look at how traditional Bavarian culture elegantly merges with Solaire’s signature Filipino warmth and world-class hospitality.

A Toast to Filipino-German Friendship

The preview featured distinguished remarks from key figures celebrating the cultural bridge between Munich and Manila:

  • Eric M. Gottschalk, President of the German Club Manila
  • His Excellency Dr. Andreas Pfaffernoschke, German Ambassador to the Philippines
  • Honorable video greetings from Dominik Krause (Mayor of Munich), Dr. Jörg Lehmann (CEO of Hofbräuhaus), and Dr. Christian Scharpf (Head of the Munich Chamber of Commerce).
  • Sebastian Kellerhoff, Solaire Resort’s Vice President for Food & Beverage and Culinary, who shared insights into this year’s authentic gastronomic direction.

Following a ceremonial toast to launch the Oktoberfest season, guests took part in the traditional Fliegerlied dance, capturing the exact energy of Munich’s famous Wiesn festival grounds.

What to Expect at Solaire’s Oktoberfest 2026

The main celebration will transform the Solaire Grand Ballroom into a massive, lively Bavarian beer hall. Attendees can look forward to a premium, three-day cultural showcase:
